The Property
This is a particularly well presented, modern, detached cottage style house built some twenty years ago of stone elevations beneath a slate roof. The light and airy accommodation benefits from oil fired central heating to radiators and double glazed windows. It includes an entrance hall, cloakroom, kitchen/breakfast room, a dining room and triple aspect sitting room with log burning stove on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two triple aspect double bedrooms, one en-suite, a third generous single bedroom and a family bathroom.
Outside
Outside the property has a shallow front garden and vehicular access to one side to the single garage and car port with outside, oil fired boiler, through a shared courtyard, within this very small modern development. A pedestrian gate, with a concealed oil tank aside, leads into the mature garden which is laid to patio and lawns, with hedge and shrub borders.
Location
The village of Wylye is a quintessential English village, featuring an attractive mix of period properties alongside more modern homes, centered around a popular village pub and a range of local amenities. Nestled in the picturesque Wylye Valley between Salisbury and Warminster, the village offers convenient access to the A303, the major trunk road linking the West Country and, via the M3, London in the East. Wylye itself, along with the network of villages throughout the Valley, boasts a variety of amenities, including Primary school, public house, post office/store and walking access to some of the most stunning landscapes in South Wiltshire. A mainline rail station serving London and Bristol can be found at nearby Westbury.
Directions
From Salisbury, take the A36 Wilton Road, passing through Wilton and the villages of Stapleford and Stoford. Continue on this road towards Warminster. After approximately four miles, as the dual carriageway begins, move into the left-hand lane and bear left onto the slip road, following the sign for Wylye. Take the left turn into the village (DO NOT JOIN THE A303) and follow this road past the pub and post office. As it bends to the right, take the left fork onto Teapot Street and bear left again onto Fore Street. Take the next right, sign-posted Dinton Road, where the property can be found immediately on the left-hand side.
